About Motion
What Motion is, what it lists and where the information comes from.
Motion is a guide to what's on in Amsterdam: club nights, concerts, festivals and day events, tonight and for the coming weeks.
What it lists
Right now: 831 upcoming events at 55 Amsterdam venues, among them 545 club nights, 167 concerts, 107 day events and 3 festivals. Counted on Wednesday 14 October at 05:49, Amsterdam time.
Where the information comes from
Every event comes from the venue's own website or ticket shop. Motion checks those listings again and again. When a venue cancels or moves an event, Motion marks it, and over events stay online as a record of what happened. Times are the venue's own. Motion never estimates an end time and shows none it doesn't have.
How the lists are ordered
Each day starts with Motion's hand-picked events. Then come club nights and festivals, then day events, then concerts. Motion doesn't rank events by popularity or by any score.
Pages
Every event has its own page at motion.vin/e/<id>/<name>, which stays online after the event.
